Neverland Nursery: "Before our daughter was born, we wanted Devon to create a room that everyone would enjoy being in; a room that was special and fun. What we got was so much more. Devon made it very special - specifically for us - by incorporating a number of personalized things that put us into the art (like our Dad's W.W.II airplane, our dog, our classic car, and our sports). Other objects and scenes create a wonderful and positive environment.
She used vibrant colors- which our daughter has responded to even at an early age. Her characters are unique, with happy faces and playful expressions. Her work characterizes a quality that is soulful, pleasant, and fun. We're convinced Devon's art has increased our daughters development, as we catch her continuously studying all the various objects and shapes. The best part of our mornings is walking into our daughter's room and seeing her from her crib laughing and playfully looking around the room- and she NEVER cries! We know she wouldn't do this with four blank walls. Even at 2-3 months, we began seeing our daughter smile at the mural (specifically the amazing castle). At 4 months, our daughter began establishing neck control, which to our amazement was aided by the mural. She would sit with us in the rocking chair and use her neck muscles to look up to the pictures of the little tree village. She would stare at the images curiously while strengthening her neck and upper back.
Devon's work just continues to surprise us daily through our daughter's enjoyment of it and her ongoing development. We know it is also continuing to develop her eyes, thoughts, imagination, and most importantly- her spirit! Devon's work is such an incredible joy for us.
